This Chinese garlic chicken recipe has spicy and garlic flavors. It's one of those delicious and easy chicken recipes.
Chicken breasts: -- 4, boneless, skinless. (Chicken legs without bones will be great, too. 2 pounds meat in this case.)
Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes and place in a bowl, mixing in the marinade ingredients and marinate for 15 minutes. (If you are not in a hurry, marinate 10 more minutes.)
In the meantime, do two things:
1.Prepare the garlic and green onions.
2. Mix the sesame oil, light soy sauce, cooking wine or sherry and chili paste in a bowl, then set aside.
Heat wok and add oil over high heat. Add the marinated chicken. Stir-fry briefly, then add the garlic and most of the green onion to stir-fry 15 seconds ( leave some green onions to sprinkle over the dish after it's done).
Add the remaining ingredients to combine for 6 minutes or so. Here it is, Chinese garlic chicken.
Sprinkle with the remaining green onion and serve hot with rice or noodles.
