Diet Cabbage Soup Recipe

This recipe uses cabbage and tofu to make a simple soup that is rich in nutrition and tastes delightful. It's especially good for people who have high blood pressure.


  • Cabbage -- Half head, roughly slice inch 1/2 wide strips
  • Water -- 4 cups
  • Tofu -- 1 box, cut into 1/2 x 1/4 inch pieces
  • Vegetable oil or sesame oil -- a few drops
  • Green onion -- 1, chopped
  • Ginger -- one piece, chopped
  • Salt -- to taste


  1. Heat water in a pot over high heat until it boils.

  2. Add salt, ginger and tofu. Bring to a boil for two minutes.

  3. Add cabbage and bring to a boil again for 1 more minute.

  4. Add green onion and oil drops, mix well.

  5. Turn off heat.

  6. Enjoy!
